BIA and organizations that are dedicated to furthering Tribal Transportation initiatives. \nNTICC features learning sessions and conference tracks tailored to fit the transportation related professional development needs in Indian Country. The 60-minute training is specifically designed to teach the basics of bridge maintenance and repair and is geared towards meeting the needs of local agencies. \nCourse Summary:\nThe training will provide an overview of bearing operations and how they impact bridge performance. Common maintenance actions will be covered to keep bearings functioning and extend their service life. Finally\, what to do when bearings have failed and require replacement. Bearing replacement is considered beyond routine maintenance and requires specialized skills to safely support the bridge while the existing bearings are removed and replaced. \nThis virtual training is being offered free of charge.
