Automated traffic signal performance measures (ATSPMs) are a promising tool for improving operations at signalized intersections, yet their implementation and use vary widely among agencies. Understanding current practices and lessons learned can help agencies overcome barriers and expand the effective use of these tools. TRB will host a webinar on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM Eastern that will discuss the practices for traditional and crowd-sourced ATSPMs, present case examples from five state DOTs, and highlight recommendations for future research. It will explore different use cases, common challenges, and the factors that have contributed to successful ATSPM deployments. Attendees will gain insight into barriers that have limited broader adoption and practical strategies to address them, as well as a clearer understanding of how ATSPMs are being applied across the United States.
