Technical Assistance
Technical assistance is help or support given by experts to solve technical problems or improve skills, systems or processes. It often includes training, advice, troubleshooting, or sharing knowledge and tools.
This assistance includes one-on-one expert guidance, small group partnerships, and access to technical tools and resources to name a few. The goal of technical assistance is to support tribes in challenging technical areas. Western TTAP strives to provide Tribes with the knowledge, training, and tools necessary to meet your goals and thrive.
Technical assistance is just one of the services our team provides to tribal affiliations at no cost.
Western TTAP has experience in providing technical assistance in areas such as pavement preservation, asset management, grant writing, program development and more. This support is designed to enhance your program’s initiatives and work cohesively with engineer and consultant efforts.
Technical Support Examples:
- Support grant development for a Tribal transit program
- Provide guidance on Federal procurement policies and capital purchases with grant funds
- Implement a Pavement Surface Evaluation Rating (PASER) and technical data to support pavement maintenance in rural, tribal communities
