National Bridge Preservation Local Agency Outreach Working Group: Bridge Drift Removal and Scour Maintenance (Virtual)

Course Summary: The Bridge Preservation Partnership Local Agency program is pleased to announce a Training Opportunity on Bridge Drift Removal and Scour Maintenance. The 60-minute training is specifically designed to teach the basics of bridge drift removal and scour maintenance and is geared towards meeting the needs of local agencies.

The training will run through the common techniques for removing drift to avoid costly scour damage and bridge rehabilitation projects. The training will also include some common methods of installing and maintaining scour countermeasures.

This virtual training is being offered free of charge. Participants will gain a general understanding of why preservation is important, how to identify good candidates for preservation, what activities are available and an idea of cost and degree of difficulty with performing the work.
