In this EMS Focus webinar, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Office of EMS will explore how the collaboration among public safety entities can advance the Safe System Approach, improve post-crash care and enhance responder safety. The discussion will focus on EMS and highway safety partnerships, drawing on Maine’s statewide collaboration model, where integrated systems and aligned Traffic Incident Management (TIM) practices support more efficient and safer responses.

Lauren V. Stewart, Director of the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety, alongside Wil O’Neal, Director of Maine EMS, will share how Maine’s cross-agency data sharing and planning have advanced roadway safety and leveraged available funding opportunities—demonstrating a scalable model that other states can adopt.
