Course Summary:

Are you struggling with how to seek and secure the funding needed to bring your Tribal transportation and infrastructure projects to life? If so, you won’t want to miss the upcoming National Tribal Grant Writing Workshop. This comprehensive 2.5 – day event is designed to equip transportation professionals, Tribal planners, transit managers, public works managers, grant writers, and funding coordinators with the skills and knowledge necessary to craft competitive, compelling and successful grant proposals.

This workshop will feature three tracks – beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Pick sessions that speak to you and your agency needs.

Whether you are new to grant writing or a seasoned professional, the Tribal Grant Writing Workshop will meet your needs. You will walk away with the tools and confidence to unlock the funding Tribal communities need.

Learning Objectives:

Over the course of the workshop, you will learn how to:

  • Effectively search for and identify the right grant funding opportunities.
  • Craft grant narratives that showcase the need, impact, and viability of your projects.
  • Manage grant awards and fulfill reporting requirements to maintain funding.
  • Network with experts from Southern TTAP, Western TTAP, FHWA, and leaders in the industry for one-on-one guidance.

Prerequisites:

None. It is recommended participants bring a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) they are interested in applying for.

Target Audience:

This course is designed for Tribal transportation staff, planners, project managers, and public works professionals, as well as grants and finance staff who support transportation programs. It is also relevant for Tribal leaders and program managers involved in planning, developing, and funding transportation projects.
